Profile Gene Chapman practices law with Cohen Cooper Estep & Allen LLC and concentrates in the areas of professional licensing, professional certification, and family law. Throughout his more than twenty years of practicing law, Gene has worked with nonprofit organizations and law firms. He served as discipline counsel for the State Bar of Georgia for over eleven years and worked with law firms in the areas of professional licensing, personal injury, family law, and commercial litigation. Prior to his career as a lawyer, Gene worked in a college student ministry in a church-related organization. Gene is a registered neutral and mediates matters involving family law, personal injury claims, professional liability, and business disputes. Due to his education and professional experience, he is particularly equipped to mediate disputes and claims involving churches and matters related to church insurance coverage. Gene earned a masters degree from Midwestern Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri in 1983 and his law degree from The University of Georgia in 1990. Gene is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, and the Association for Professional Responsibility Lawyers.
