Profile

Burke Johnson graduated from Emory University in 1984 and from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1987. While in law school, he was a member of
the Editorial Board of the Georgia Law Review.

Burke has extensive experience working with elders and their families to address the issues associated with aging, including health and medical care,
end-of-life care and decisions, how to share family care-giving, care-giving schedules and expenses, living arrangements, property maintenance, family
members' role in decisions, guardianship decisions, financial arrangements, and probate matters such as wills, estates and trusts.

As an elder care mediator, Burke assists elders and their families in navigating difficult conversations. He helps them discuss topics related to aging in a
manner that promotes understanding, respect and dignity.

Burke has served as a volunteer attorney with the Georgia Senior Legal Hotline and was previously the Chair of the Atlanta Bar Association's Elder Law
Section. He is a registered neutral with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and serves as a coach to students enrolled in the Mediation Practicum course
at the University of Georgia School of Law. Burke has received an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale Hubbell.
